Tour Description

Step into Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle on a calm, well-paced private tour with a licensed Chauffeur-Guide. DAY 01 - Airport to Negombo

DAY 01 - Airport to Negombo

⦁    Head to Anuradhapura to explore a UNESCO World Heritage ancient city. Discover towering white stupas, sacred temples, and the world's oldest documented tree still standing after over 2,000 years.

Sri Lanka's first capital and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

DAY 02 - Negombo to Anuradhapura

⦁    Travel to Jaffna in Sri Lanka's northernmost region, a place with a rich cultural heritage and fascinating history. Witness ornate temple architecture, explore colonial remnants, and meet locals proud of their distinct traditions.

This vibrant peninsula city showcases Sri Lanka's cultural diversity with stunning temples, unique cuisine, and a strong local identity.

DAY 03 - Anuradhapura to Jaffna

⦁    Spend your day exploring the mighty Jaffna Fort, sail to Delft Island where wild horses run free, and visit the serene Nagadeepa Island. Each site reveals beautifully decorated places of worship and the distinctive character of northern Sri Lanka.

About Jaffna Fort:
One of Asia's largest and best-kept colonial forts, built by the Portuguese and expanded by the Dutch. 

About Delft Island:
Famous for its wild ponies descended from colonial-era horses, ancient baobab trees, and houses built entirely from coral.

About Nagadeepa Island:
A quiet island getaway accessible by boat, offering cultural sites and peaceful surroundings.

DAY 04 – Jaffna City Tour & Islands Excursion

⦁    Travel to Nilaveli Beach, one of Sri Lanka's most pristine coastal stretches. Relax on soft white sands, swim in crystal-clear turquoise waters, and unwind in this peaceful tropical paradise.

DAY 05 – Jaffna to Nilaveli Beach

⦁    Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with impressive ruins. Wander through royal palace remains, marvel at giant Buddha statues, and discover temples that tell stories from centuries past.

 

About Polonnaruwa:
The island's second ancient capital features some of the best-preserved ruins in South Asia. Today, you can see well-preserved statues, stupas, and palace ruins spread across a beautiful park setting.

DAY 06 – Nilaveli to Polonnaruwa


⦁    Enter the realm of Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that rises dramatically from the jungle. In the evening, head to Minneriya National Park for an exciting jeep safari to spot elephants and other wildlife.

 

About Minneriya National Park:
This park is famous for its large elephant gatherings, especially during the dry season. Watch herds of wild elephants come to the lake to drink, bathe, and play in their natural home.

DAY 07 – Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya & Minneriya

⦁    Climb the famous Sigiriya Lion Rock, an ancient palace built on top of a massive rock in the 5th century. The climb takes you past beautiful paintings, mirror walls, and giant lion paws to reach the summit with amazing jungle views.

DAY 08 – Sigiriya Rock Fortress Climb

⦁    Make your way to Kandy with two special stops along the route. First, explore Aluviharaya Monastery, a historic monastery where Buddhist scriptures were first written down centuries ago, then discover the breathtaking Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that features five cave temples carved into a massive rock.

DAY 09 – Sigiriya to Kandy (via Aluviharaya & Dambulla)

⦁    Explore the highlights of Kandy, starting with the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the spiritual centrepiece of the city. Then travel to Peradeniya to discover the lush Royal Botanic Gardens with its incredible plant diversity.

 

About Kandy:
This charming hill city is the cultural heart and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. The city is home to the famous tooth relic of Buddha and offers cool weather, scenic lake views, and rich traditions.

DAY 10 – Kandy City Tour & Peradeniya

⦁    Travel to Nuwara Eliya through stunning hill country landscapes. Known as "Little England," this charming hill town sits at 1,900 meters with cool weather and colonial-era buildings. Surrounded by tea plantations and misty mountains, it offers a refreshing escape with beautiful gardens and scenic lake views. 
En route, stop at the beautiful Ramboda Waterfalls cascading down the mountains, then visit a Tea Factory to witness how the world-famous Ceylon Tea is made from leaf to cup.

DAY 11 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

⦁    Board the train for an unforgettable ride to Ella through Sri Lanka's stunning hill country. Experience one of the world's most scenic railway journeys as you wind through mountains to reach this romantic hill town.

About the Train Journey:
This legendary train ride takes you through emerald tea estates, over towering bridges, and past cascading waterfalls. Considered one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, it offers breathtaking views at every curve.

DAY 12 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella (Train Ride)

⦁    Spend your day at Ella. This mountain town has become a traveller's favourite with its stunning views, hiking trails, and relaxed atmosphere. Perched on a cliff edge, Ella offers breathtaking scenery with the famous Rawana Waterfall, Nine Arch Bridge, and Ella Gap, revealing the southern plains far below.

DAY 13 – Ella Exploration

⦁    Head to Yala for another exciting jeep safari through one of Asia's best wildlife parks. Home to one of the world's highest leopard densities. Spend the night at Tissamaharama, a peaceful town near the park.

DAY 14 – Ella to Yala

⦁    Explore the Galle Fort, a beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage colonial fortress by the sea. This 17th-century Dutch fortress is one of Asia's best-preserved colonial forts. Inside the massive walls, find churches, museums, cafes, and galleries in beautifully restored buildings where history comes alive at every corner.

DAY 15 – Yala to Galle

⦁    Make your way to Colombo. Sri Lanka's vibrant capital blends modern shopping malls with colonial buildings and busy markets. Browse for tea, spices, and handicrafts, or stroll along Galle Face Green by the ocean to soak in the city's energy.

DAY 16 – Galle to Colombo
